Preprints Permitted

GJCCPH permits submission of work previously posted as a preprint on a reputable, publicly accessible repository. Posting a preprint does not by itself constitute prior publication for purposes of editorial consideration.

Disclosure

Authors disclose the preprint DOI or persistent URL during submission. The published article links to the preprint where appropriate and identifies the relationship between versions.

Citation of Preprints

Preprints may be cited when relevant. References clearly identify the item as a preprint and include a DOI or persistent URL where available.

Examples of Repositories

Examples include medRxiv, bioRxiv, EarthArXiv, ESSOAr, and suitable institutional repositories. This list is illustrative, not an exclusive approval list.

Peer Review and Anonymity

GJCCPH uses double-anonymous peer review. Because preprints are publicly accessible, complete anonymity cannot always be guaranteed. Reviewers are instructed not to intentionally identify authors through external searches, and to notify the editor if inadvertent identification could affect impartiality.

Version of Record

Upon publication, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with a link to the Version of Record and a statement that the article has been peer reviewed and published.
