Before Submission

Authors confirm that the manuscript is within scope, has not been published elsewhere, is not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere, and satisfies the journal’s ethical, authorship, disclosure, reporting, and data-availability requirements.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact with the editorial office throughout submission, review, and production.
• Confirms that all listed co-authors have approved the final manuscript, the author list, and its order before submission.
• Is responsible for keeping co-authors informed of the manuscript’s status and for coordinating any requested revisions.
• Manages the Article Processing Charge and any waiver request on behalf of the author group.

Submission Components

• Separate Title Page with manuscript title, author names, affiliations, corresponding-author details, ORCID iDs where available, funding statement, conflicts of interest, and CRediT contributions.
• An anonymized Main Manuscript for double-anonymous review, with names, affiliations, acknowledgments, identifying file metadata, and self-identifying statements removed where reasonably practicable.
• Cover Letter describing the article type, significance, scope fit, prior dissemination such as a preprint, and any relevant AI-use disclosure.
• Data Availability Statement under the heading "Data Availability."
• Ethics statement, approval information, consent statement, and trial registration information where applicable.
• Reporting checklists and flow diagrams where applicable.

Anonymization

Authors avoid first-person self-identification in the anonymized manuscript where doing so would reveal identity unnecessarily. Self-citations are permitted when scientifically necessary, but identifying language is minimized. Reviewers are asked not to search for author identities.

AI-Assisted Work

Where generative AI or other automated tools have been used beyond routine spelling, grammar, formatting, or similar language correction, authors disclose the tool, version where available, purpose, and relevant contribution, consistent with the journal’s AI Policy.

Similarity Screening

GJCCPH uses similarity-screening tools as part of editorial quality control. Similarity scores are screening indicators, not automatic findings of plagiarism; full detail is set out in the Plagiarism Policy.

Manuscript Preparation

Use clear headings, define abbreviations at first use, report units consistently, identify statistical methods, provide uncertainty measures where appropriate, and describe climate datasets, geographic coverage, temporal resolution, version/date, software, and analytical procedures sufficiently for reproducibility.
